Sylvain has more than 35 years of banking experience with a focus on corporate lending and business development. Throughout his career, Sylvain has advised companies across Canada and internationally on a variety of capital markets transactions. Most recently, Sylvain was Vice Chairman Managing Director, Investment Banking at National Bank of Canada. Previously, he held various positions at Desjardins:
- Acted as Vice Chairman and Senior Vice-President with Desjardins Capital Markets
- Head of Canadian Corporate Banking unit prior to Vice-Chair role
- Responsible for European business development initiatives
Sylvain also has extensive experience as a board member for multiple societies including:
- Montreal International
- Cercle Canadien de Montréal and other foundations
- STIQ and Théâtre du Nouveau-Monde and several other organizations
