Horacio has over 20 years of success in leadership roles within the financial services and high-tech industries and a track record of over three-dozen deals, ranging from capital formation to M&A transactions. Prior to joining Origin, Horacio was Managing Director at Capstone Partners (previously Headwaters MB, and now Huntington Bancshares – NASDAQ: HBAN). Previously, he was also the Founding Managing Partner at Venture Marketeers, a well-known Silicon Valley advisory practice. Before that, he served as Managing Director with Axiom Capital, a distinguished NYC-based asset manager, and boutique investment bank.
Horacio possesses a global perspective, having been to every continent and to 50+ countries. He is fluent in English, Portuguese, Spanish and Italian and has intermediate proficiency in French. Horacio holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, a BS in Economics from Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul – where he was Valedictorian – and a BS in Electrical Engineering & Electronics from the Pontifícia Católica do Rio Grande do Sul – where he was also Valedictorian.
He is based in Boston and currently holds the Series 7 (General Securities Representative), 24 (General Securities Principal), 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State Law), and 79 (Investment Banking) Registrations.
