Origin Merchant Partners Welcomes Two New Members to its Advisory Board

Origin Merchant Partners is pleased to announce the addition of Rob Hines, and Catherine David Nolan to its Advisory Board.  The Advisory Board is made up of leading professionals, executives and entrepreneurs in their respective industries who provide direction and support for Origin Merchant Partners’ current and future initiatives.  Steve Bromley joined the Advisory Board in 2016 and continues to be an active member.

Rob Hines has over 30 years of management experience in senior leadership roles in Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom, and has served on the boards of directors of a number of corporations. He has held a number of senior leadership positions both in investment banking, including as CEO of Credit Suisse Canada and Vice-Chair of Merrill Lynch Canada, and the executive search industry including as Managing Partner Global Operations of Heidrick & Struggles.  He began his career practicing law with Aird & Berlis where he specialized in corporate finance and securities law.  Mr. Hines currently is Chair of the Independent Review Committee of Mackenzie Investments Mutual Funds and a member of the International Advisory Council of the Schulich School of Business at York University and Executive Director of Schulich’s Career Development Centre.

Catherine David Nolan has over 30 years of experience in senior management roles in finance.  Currently, she is the Chief Financial Officer of Reliance Home Comfort where she has been for the past 13 years.  During Catherine’s tenure as CFO of Reliance she has been involved in multiple transactions and equity and debt financings including the $1.7 billion privatization and sale in 2007 and the recent sale of Reliance to CKP Holdings in 2017.  Previously, Catherine held positions at Cancer Care Ontario, Centrica North America, Toronto Hydro and Goldcorp Inc.  Catherine is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Accountant (CA).

Steve Bromley has over 30 years of food, beverage and general leadership experience in private and public companies at both management and board levels. Most recently he served as the CEO of SunOpta Inc., a leading integrated global natural, organic and specialty foods company, where he spent approximately 15 years in a variety of roles including CFO, COO and ultimately CEO for his last 8 years.  Steve both advises, and sits on the board of a number of companies in the natural and organic foods space.  Steve is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and Certified General Accountant (CGA).
