The expansion of Origin Merchant Partners’ Debt Advisory Practice strengthens its ability to deliver comprehensive capital solutions for clients. With deep experience on both the borrower and lender sides of credit transactions, the team can secure and structure a wide range of financing options. The addition and expertise of Mr. Shah will provide more market intelligence, structuring support and alternative financing solutions to mid-market clients in key sectors such as industrials, consumer, agri/food, healthcare, technology and financial services, in both Canadian and U.S. markets.
The private debt market has boomed since Covid. With over US$1 trillion in AUM, this financing category continues to grow as an alternative or complement to senior debt and equity- especially with companies operating in high growth sectors.
Mr. Shah has over 12 years of experience, primarily focused on structuring and executing debt financing transactions for mid-market North American companies across a wide range of industries. Prior to joining Origin, Mr. Shah was a Director, Investment Banking, Debt Capital Markets at Ventum Financial, responsible for leading the execution of debt financing transactions. Prior to Ventum, he held multiple roles at Deloitte and Guggenheim Partners across capital advisory, investments, and M&A transactions.
