Veteran Lending and Restructuring Professional Joins Toronto-Based Advisory Firm

TORONTO, ON — July 6th, 2026 — Origin Merchant Partners (« Origin ») today announced that Ken Adams has joined the firm, further building out its Credit and Debt Advisory practice. The appointment follows the firm’s recent addition of Maulik Shah and reflects Origin’s continued investment in expanding its credit, debt, and restructuring capabilities for middle-market clients.

Ken brings experience as a senior lender, junior lender, and restructuring professional, having executed transactions spanning intellectual property, manufacturing, project finance, and leveraged buyouts.

Ken began his career as an infantry officer with the Royal Canadian Regiment. After leaving the military, he joined RBC, working within the Entertainment and Media group before moving into the Special Loans and Advisory Services group on the bank’s national accounts. Prior to joining Origin, Ken was an asset-owner in Export Development Canada’s Mid-Market Lending group, where he capitalized high-growth companies.

Ken holds a Bachelor of Arts from the Royal Military College of Canada, an MBA and Master of Finance from Wilfrid Laurier University, and is a CFA Charter holder.

Ken’s arrival adds further depth to Origin’s growing bench of credit and debt professionals, reinforcing the firm’s ability to advise clients on complex financing, restructuring, and capital structure decisions.
